interview With @jessie_feitosa
1.Can you share how you began your journey as an artist?
“I’ve always been creative, but I started taking painting more seriously when I realised how much joy it brought me (and others). It slowly turned from a hobby into something I couldn’t imagine not doing.”
2. What is a day in your life like?
“A mix of mum life, coffee, and painting! I usually juggle home life first with studio time at night. Some days are messy and chaotic, others are calm and creative.”
3. What are some new pieces you’re looking forward to working on?
“I’m really excited to create more table scapes... it’s all about tables filled with food, drinks, flowers and full of life.”
4. What helps you get inspired and ready to work?
“Good music or podcast, a clean-ish space, and just starting even if I don’t feel ready. Inspiration usually comes once I’m already in it.”
5. What is your best advice to other artists starting out?
“Don’t wait until you feel ready, just start. Share your work, be consistent, and don’t compare yourself to anyone else. If you’re met with resistance, push through it. Usually, that resistance means you’re onto something, so keep going with whatever passion you have.”
